Abstract
W350Propject, Japan; Architect: Tomohiko Yamanashi. The goal of developing a 350m super high-rise timber tower as a symbol of future urban living research key solutions regarding current issues facing the global environment, nature, and sustainability. This system will be a hybrid development of timber and steel structural elements which are designed in such a manner as to encompass fire prevention and seismic issues whilst reducing long term questions of environmental impact. Dependency on an external green zone, planting, and urban vertical landscaping to enclose the building's core function will be paramount to the overall success of this scheme.
