Abstract

A recenzió egy különleges, a magyar könyvpiacon eddig nem látott műfajban és formában megjelent kötetet mutat be, amelyet a kötet szerkesztője ismertet. A mű szerzői Japánról, az egyik legfejlettebb ázsiai demokráciáról írtak egy már szinte enciklopédikus művet, arra a kérdésre választ keresve, hogyan alakult ki Japán demokratikus és immáron több évtizede ugyanazon erők (liberális-demokraták) által kormányzott – és egyben a világ egyik legfejlettebb gazdasági – rendszere a történelem során, illetve hogyan sikerült a távoli szigetországnak megőriznie mindez alatt a nemzeti hagyományait és sikeresen fejlődnie a kultúrájában mélyen gyökerező technológiai innováció, illetve egy hipermodern út, a tudományos-fantasztikus irodalom klasszikusaira emlékeztető „társadalom 5.0” (Society 5.0) koncepció által, miközben már élen jár a termékenységi rátában is a főbb versenytársaihoz képest (Kína, Dél-Korea). | This review presents by the editor himself a unique volume published in a genre and format never before seen on the Hungarian book market. The authors have written an almost encyclopaedic work on Japan, one of the most advanced democracies in Asia, in search of answers to the question of how Japan's democratic system, governed by the same force (liberal-democrats) for several decades now, and one of the most advanced economic systems in the world, has evolved throughout history. In addition, how this remote island nation has managed to preserve its national traditions and successfully develop a Society 5.0 concept with deep-rooted technological innovation in its culture together with a hyper-modern way of life reminiscent of the classics of science fiction, whilst already leading its region in terms of fertility rates compared to its main competitors (China, South Korea).
