Abstract

Több mint másfél éve zajlik a koronavírus-világjárvány, a COVID-19. Már a pandémia első hulláma idején tisztázódott, hogy egyes krónikus megbetegedések, közöttük a diabetes is, fokozott kockázatot jelentenek mind a fertőződés, mind a kimenetel tekintetében. A második és különösen a harmadik hullám azután sok tekintetben pontosította, részben módosította az addigi ismereteket. Közelebbről kirajzolódott a fertőződés mechanizmusa, a vírus iránti fogékonyságot és a megbetegedés kimenetelét meghatározó tényezők köre, valamint cukorbetegek esetében az anyagcsere-vezetés tekintetében legoptimálisabb terápia. E kérdéseket járja körül munkánk. | The coronavirus pandemic, COVID-19, has been going on for more than a year and a half. Already at the time of the first wave of the pandemic, it became clear that some chronic diseases, including diabetes, were at increased risk for both infection and outcome. The second and especially the third wave then clarified in many respects, partly modified the previous knowledge. In particular, the mechanism of infection, the factors determining susceptibility to the virus and the outcome of the disease, as well as the most optimal therapy for metabolic management in diabetics have been outlined. Our work revolves around these issues.
