Abstract

A nyelészavarok ellátásának igénye az öregedő korfával és az orvosi ellátás javulásával párhuzamosan megnőtt. A nemzetközi szakirodalomban közel fél évszázados múltra tekint vissza a logopédusok bevonása a nyelészavar kezelésébe. Hazánkban ez a szerepkör talán még szokatlan, azonban az oropharyngealis dysphagia diagnosztikájában és terápiájában magasan képzett szakemberek száma növekedni látszik – a célirányos felsőoktatási képzéseknek köszönhetően – az egészségügyben. The demand for treatment of swallowing disorders has increased in parallel with the aging population and the improvement of medical care. In the international literature, the involvement of speech therapists in the treatment of swallowing disorders goes back almost half a century. In Hungary, this role is perhaps still unusual, however the number of highly qualified specialists in the diagnosis and therapy of oropharyngeal dysphagia seems to be increasing in the health sector thanks to new targeted higher education courses.
