Abstract

Jelen tanulmány a honfoglalás kori leletanyagban előkerült láncékszerekkel foglalkozik. Ezen ritka tárgytípusba tartozó ékszerek eddig kizárólag női és gyermeksírokból kerültek elő. Viselésük módjának eddig még nem sikerült pontos képet adniuk, a sírok bolygatottsága és a kevés hiteles feltárás végett. A láncékszerek párhuzamainak vizsgálata közben nem csupán a Kárpát-medence korábbi leleteit, de a Kárpátoktól keletre, Bizáncban, valamint a Közel-Keleten előkerült korábbi vagy korban megegyező leleteket is figyelembe kell venni. This study focuses on the 10th century chain jewellery found in the Carpathian Basin. These rare artifacts have thus far only been unearthed from female and child graves. The way they wore it has not yet been accurately determined due to the disturbance of the graves and the scarcity of reliable excavations. In examining parallels of these chain ornaments, it is essential to consider not only the earlier finds in the Carpathian Basin but also artifacts discovered to the east of the Carpathians, in Byzantium, and in the Middle East from the same or a similar period.
