Abstract

The water temperature is highly relevant in agriculture and aquaculture, andit motivated the present workthat analyzesthe responsiveness, accuracy and precision of a digital low-cost waterproof temperature sensor model DS18B20, whichrequires only a simple hardware to allow itsconnection to microcontrollersand presented a satisfactory performance in this work analysis. Despite the focus on a specific sensor, this work presents nonexclusive analysis techniques that can allow the analysis of other temperature sensors. The water temperature relevancejustifiesthe present work, whose results are presented with quantitative parameters and justified according to concrete measurement theories.
