Abstract
1. ) Cats' hearts contain somewhat less N than skeletal muscle does. 2. ) A smaller part of the heart's N-content can be extracted according to Weber than of the skeletal muscle. 3. ) Hypertrophized heart muscle contains somewhat more N than normal heart muscle. 4. ) The distribution of the N-content into different fractions (myosin, globulin, myogen, Rest, collagen, remaining, fluid N) is the same in normal and hypertrophized heart muscle.
