Abstract

The steady-state operation of a four channel resonant step-up dc/dc converter is presented and analyzed in continuous current conduction mode (CCM). The converter is equipped with two input channels, four output channels, and facilitates zero voltage (ZVS) and/or zero current switching (ZCS), which help reducing the switching losses. The quasi-sinusoidal waveforms assist in improving the EMI characteristics. The relations among the input and output voltages, with the use of the control variables, are derived. The effect of the control variables on the operation is evaluated. The theoretical results are verified by computer simulations and experimental tests.
