Abstract
T here is an organic interaction between the private international law of the EU Member States and EU private international law. EU private international law affects the private international law of the Member States in a number of ways. As a result of the EU legislative process over the last decades, an increasing proportion of private international law issues previously governed by national law are now governed by EU law. However, the impact of EU law can also be observed where the issue is still governed by national private international law. T his study examines the impact of EU private international law on the Hungarian domestic conflict of laws rules in the period between 2013 and 2023.
