Abstract
Commenting on the state of contemporary architecture in Transylvania leads to certain contradictions, a falling ethnic Hungarian population, abandoned rural buildings, palaces, barns and churches. Maybe there are no contemporary buildings, only restoration projects, or the act of restoration acts as a contemporary indicator of new beginnings. Elements of the design being executed in stainless steel or glazed installations are signs of high-tech architecture.
