Abstract

The new visitor center is little more than an expansion of the existing pharmacology laboratory building with a steel-framed, steel-clad end facade, a new entrance reception area and a roof structure, resulting in a contemporary upgrade. The choice of materials and architectural language demonstrate how a well-designed building should be built well. Refined use of materials makes functions clear to understand and help take the visitor from the architectural concrete entrance up to the sixth-floor exhibition space.
