Abstract

This paper aimed to show the theoretical background, the methodology and a practical realization of a spectrum optimized alarm clock that simulates a sunrise, for a more pleasant awakening. The shown internal light source is a surface mount RGBW led strip for supplementary lighting, due to the placement, the light is scattered light reflected from the surface. The article describes the relationship between the system hardware and software components, also dealing with design possibilities. The proposed methods and solutions are well applicable in other real-life applications.
