Abstract

A mizrahikat (keleti zsidók) a 20. században két nagyobb trauma érte: 1948 után rá voltak kényszerítve szülőföldjük elhagyására, s új otthon keresésére, mely a legtöbbjük számára Izrael Államban adatott meg. Ugyanakkor az itteni integráció sem volt egyszerű folyamat a számukra és – bár az azóta eltelt évtizedekben sokat javult a helyzet – a folyamat máig nem tekinthető tökéletesen lezártnak. Jelen írás keretei között a szülőföld elhagyásához, a kényszerű távozáshoz vezető okok komplexitásáról szeretnék számot adni, illetve röviden kitekintünk az események utóéletére is. | The Mizrahi (Jews from Muslim lands) suffered two major traumas in the 20th century: after 1948, they were forced to leave their homeland and find a new home, which was realized for most of them in the State of Israel. At the same time, integration has not been an easy process for them, and although the situation has improved considerably in the decades since the process is still not fully completed. In this paper, I would like to describe the complexity of the reasons that led to the forced departure from their homeland and at the subsequent development since the early 2000s.
