Abstract

This study explores the concept of organizational agility, particularly in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the aim of addressing widespread misconceptions. Agility is presented as a multi-faceted management and organizational philosophy, rather than just a set of practices. Through a comprehensive literature review and analysis of current organizational practices, the study examines three distinct layers of agility and their interaction with hierarchical structures. It also considers how labor market trends and the expectations of younger generations, such as Generation Z and Alpha, influence the adoption of agile methods. The findings reveal that agility is often misunderstood due to its complexity and lack of clear implementation guidelines. By identifying the core layers of agility, the research shows how it serves as both a strategy for managing change and a broader organizational philosophy. The study underscores the growing pressure from labor markets and generational shifts as key drivers for adopting agile practices. It offers practical insights for organizations on effectively applying agility within their structures, highlighting the importance of clear communication and education. The research provides a unique contribution by offering a structured analysis of agility and its implications for organizations in the evolving post-pandemic workforce.
