Abstract

A csoportszinten megfigyelt minták követésének (vagy éppen az attól való eltéréseknek) az értelmezése az egyéni motivációkon, döntéseken keresztül ragadható meg igazán, egyetlen egy életút és az ahhoz kapcsolódó szociális háttér is alkalmas lehet arra, hogy adalékokkal szolgáljon a vármegyei kutatásokhoz. Szemléltetésként egy baranyai-somogyi kettőskötődésű birtokos nemes, Igmándy Antal karrierjét mutatom be, aki boldogasszonyfai család gyermekeként, a pécsi jogakadémia hallgatójaként, szigetvári szolgabíróként, somogyi főjegyzőként, a Dunántúli Kerületi Tábla ülnökeként reprezentáns személyisége volt a regionális közéletnek. | The patterns observed at group level (as to whether they are followed or deviated from) can be interpreted in the most reliable way by examining individual motivations and decisions. Specific biographies, supplemented by the description of the social background, provide relevant elements for the research on the county system. To illustrate this, I will present the career of Antal Igmándy, a landed nobleman of dual bond to Baranya and Somogy counties. Born in Boldogasszonyfa, Igmándy studied at the Pécs Law Schools before becoming a magistrate of the District of Szigetvár and chief notary of Somogy County. As a side judge at the Transdanubian Regional Court of Appeal, he was considered a leading representative of the local public life.
