Abstract

A fibromyalgia összetett betegség. Jel­leg­ze­tessége a testben szétterjedő fájdalom, amely a fájdalomérzet központi idegrendszeri kóros feldolgozásának, a centrális szen­zitizációnak következménye. | Fibromyalgia is a complex disease. It is cha­racterized by widespreading pain appearing all over the body, which is the result of a disturbance in the processing of the sensation of pain in the central nervous system, called central sensitization. The dis­ease is often accompanied by mood alterations, disturbed sleep, and functional disorders of the gastrointestinal or urogenital tract, and other organs. The diagnosis of the disease is clinical, based on the characteristic complaints and symptoms, and can be established by diagnosing co-morbidities. No specific treatment is available. First of all, patient education, psychological in­ter­ventions, physical exercise therapy should be chosen, drug treatment is preserved for more severe cases, in case of ineffectiveness of the initial therapy.
