Abstract

A harckocsi halálát – annak 1916-os harctéri megjelenése óta – már számos katonai szakember megjósolta, egyre későbbre és későbbre tolva annak bekövetkezési idejét. Az elmúlt több mint száz év konfliktusai során azonban mindig bebizonyosodott, hogy a harckocsikra – vagy tágabb értelemben a páncélozott harcjárművekre – továbbra is szüksége van minden haderőnek. De továbbra is így lesz ez, vagy az orosz–ukrán háború tapasztalataiból arra következtethetünk, hogy a harckocsik eddigi hegemóniájának vége? Cikkemben szeretném röviden összefoglalni az elmúlt időszak konfliktusainak harckocsikra vonatkozó tapasztalatait és pár megállapítást tenni a harckocsik jövőjével kapcsolatban. | Since its first appearance in the battlefield in 1916, many military experts have predicted the death of the tank, pushing the date of its arrival further and further out. But the conflicts of the last century and more have shown that tanks – or armoured fighting vehicles in the broader sense – are still needed by all forces. But will this continue to be the case, or can we conclude from the experience of the Russo-Ukrainian war that the hegemony of tanks is over? In this article, I would like to briefly summarise the experience of recent conflicts focusing on the tanks and make a few observations about the future of these fighting vehicles.
