Abstract

Bár alig kétszáz éves felfedezésről van szó, az emberiség függése a villamos energiától mára kritikussá vált. Az emberi civilizáció egyre inkább rá van utalva a villamos energiára, ennek hiányában a jelenlegi életvitel teljesen elképzelhetetlen. Az, hogy az emberi kultúra fennmaradása ennyire ki van téve egyetlen energiahordozónak általános jelenség, jelen van az iparban, a mezőgazdaságban, a közigazgatásban, de még a családok mindennapjában és természetesen a honvédelemben is. Ám míg a civil és a katonai infrastruktúra egyaránt rászorul a villamos energiára, ez utóbbi néhány szempontból jelentősen eltér a többi területtől. Jelen cikk a villamos energia katonai jelentőségét vizsgálja, külön figyelemmel a villamos energia terepi biztosításának fenntarthatósági szempontjaira. | Although it is barely two hundred years old discovery, humanity's dependence on electricity is now critical. Human civilisation is becoming increasingly dependent on electricity, without which the current way of life would be unthinkable. The fact that the survival of human civilisation is so dependent on that single source of energy is a general phenomenon, present in industry, agriculture, public administration, even in the everyday life of families and, of course, in defence. But while both civil and military infrastructure highly rely on electricity, the defence is in some respects very different from the other areas. This article examines the importance of electricity for the military, with a particular focus on the sustainability aspects of providing electricity in the field.
