Abstract

Czetz Alfonz katonai pályafutását szokványosnak is nevezhetnénk, hiszen nagyobb zökkenők nélkül haladt előre. Pedig olyan helyeken és időkben kellett helytállnia, mint az első világhá-ború hadszínterei és az azt követő zavaros időszak. Árkászként és műszaki tisztként kiemelkedő tehetséggel végezte munkáját hazája javára. Elsősorban az út- és hídépítés volt a szakterülete. Épített tábori erődítéseket, továbbá folytatott aknaharcot az első világégés orosz, román és olasz hadszínterén. Kiemelkedő szakmai felkészültsége és hazája iránti rendíthetetlen hűsége emelte egyre magasabb beosztásokba. | The military career of Alfonz Czetz may be deemed ordinary as he was promoted through the ranks without major difficulties, even if he had to serve in such difficult times as the various theaters of the First World War and turbulent times that followed. Both as a sapper and as amilitary engineer, he showed excellent professional skills in the service of his country. His main field of expertise was road and bridge construction, yet he also worked on field fortifications and fought in mine warfare at the Russian, Romanian and Italian Theaters of the First World War. His military expertise and unwavering loyalty for his nation elevated him to ever higher ranks.
