Abstract
ARCHITECT: CONCRETE ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATES BV. MOOS Projekte, a Dutch startup utilizing modular cross-laminated timber (CLT) construction for multi-story social housing, addressing both building and climate challenges. Their first completed project near Rotterdam, a two-story, 30-unit complex designed by Concrete Architectural Associates with a focus on community building, employs prefabricated "open" living and "private" sleeping modules for flexible apartment layouts. This initiative, followed by a larger four-story project in Amsterdam, reflects a growing European trend towards sustainable timber construction driven by environmental concerns and technological advancements.
