Abstract

According to a legendary story, in the early 1920s, a foreigner bomb expert appearedamong the Korean independence fighters, who was a former Hungarian soldier from World War I.The author attempted to identify the mysterious Hungarian figure using archival documents. Theresearch follow the life of the story’s Korean protagonist to 1950s North Korea.
