Abstract

Jelen tanulmány az Európai Kutatási Tanács (European Research Council – ERC) franciaországi és hollandiai nyerteseinek tudományos teljesítményét hasonlítja össze a társadalom- és bölcsészettudományok területén, a két ország modelljének ismertetésén keresztül, a Scopus adatbázis SciVal elemző platformjának felhasználásával. A szerzők összesen 9996 – 2014 és 2023 közötti – közleményt, valamint 305 – 2019 és 2023 közötti – ERC-nyertes projektet elemeztek. Módszertanát tekintve a tanulmány többféle megközelítést alkalmaz (például témamodellezés, bibliometriai elemzés, hálózatelemzés és statisztikai vizsgálatok). A kutatás kiemelt eredménye, hogy mind a franciaországi, mind a hollandiai modell jelentős sikereket ér el az ERCpályázatok területén, köszönhetően a tudatos, hosszú távú stratégián alapuló tudománypolitikának. A kutatási eredmények azt mutatják, hogy míg a hollandiai ERC-nyertesek több publikációt készítenek, és nagyobb témák szerinti sokszínűségben, addig a francia kutatók inkább speciális témákra összpontosítanak, és bár kevésbé dinamikusan, de egyenletes ütemben publikálnak. A tanulmány iránymutatásként szolgálhat a hazai tudománytervezés, az együttműködések és a publikációs gyakorlatok optimalizálásához. | The study compares the scientific performance of the European Research Council (ERC) winners in France and the Netherlands in the domain of social sciences and humanities, by presenting the two countries’ scientific models, using the Scopus database’s SciVal analysis platform. A total of 9996 publications between 2014 and 2023 and 305 ERC-winning projects between 2019 and 2023 were analysed. In terms of methodology, the study uses multiple approaches (e.g. topic modelling, bibliometric analysis, network analysis and statistical analysis). A key finding of the research is that both the French and the Dutch models have achieved remarkable success in ERC proposals thanks to their respective science policies based on a conscious, long-term strategy. The study’s results show that while Dutch ERC winners publish more and have a wider thematic diversity, French researchers focus on specific topics and publish at a less dynamic, yet stable pace. The study can serve as a guideline for optimizing domestic science planning, collaborations, and publication practices.
