Abstract
Lessons learned from the Sacchi and Agostinho Cases address the issue of protecting children’s rights (from a human rights perspective) in an era of climate change. To this end, the article zooms-in the decision of the Committee on the Rights of the Child in the Sacchi case and the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in the Duarte Agostinho case. Despite the apparent failure of both cases, the author does a filigree work of revealing the contribution of both bodies to the understanding of children’s rights in relation to climate risk.
