Abstract

A pályázat célkitűzéseinek megfelelően 2005-2009 között komplex módszerekkel (légi felderítés és fotózás, terepbejárás, ásatás, geodéziai felmérés, szakirodalmi, adattári, levéltári anyaggyűjtés) kutattam a Pest megyei várakat. Jelenlegi ismereteim szerint a megyében 93 őskori és középkori vár van, közülük 46 őskori, 35 Árpád-kori és késő középkori, 12 bizonytalan korú és rendeltetésű. A légi felderítéseknek köszönhetően 6 új, eddig ismeretlen erődítés vált ismertté. A pályázati futamidő alatt összesen 20 őskori, illetve középkori földvár geodéziai felmérését végeztük el. Bejártam a már korábban is ismert helyeket, ellenőriztem állapotukat, valamint a régi geodéziai felméréseket. A terepmunkával párhuzamosan folyamatosan készítettem az egyes várak feldolgozását a tervezett monográfia számára. | A brief summary In accordance with the objectives of the OTKA competition, I investigated the earthen forts and castles of Pest county with complex methods (aerial prospecting and aerial photography, field walking, excavation, geodetic survey, collection of bibliographic data and archival sources) between 2005 and 2009. According to my present knowledge, there are 93 prehistoric and medieval earthen forts, castles in Pest county, including 46 prehistoric, 35 Árpádian-period and late medieval, as well as 12 from uncertain periods. Thanks to the aerial prospectings 6 new and up to now unknown earthen forts became known. During the period of the OTKA competition we made geodetic survey on 20 prehistoric and medieval earthen forts. I conducted field walkings on the already known sites, I checked their state and those geodetic surveys which were prepared on them earlier. Parallel to the field work, I continually made the analysis of the earthen forts and castles for the planned monography.
