Abstract

A török kiűzése újjászületést jelentett Baranya vármegye számára. Bár a térség jelentősen megszenvedte a visszafoglaló háborút, a vármegye hamar új életre kelt: a századfordulóra már megszilárdult a régi-új berendezkedés. A békés fejlődés évtizedeiben csak II. József kerületi igazgatása okozott némi törést. A király rendszerének összeomlása után a vármegye visszanyerte autonómiáját, és beköszöntött a klasszikus rendiség korszaka, amely egészen az 1848–49-es szabadságharc leveréséig zavartalanul működhetett.Kutatásom célja, hogy betekintést nyújtson Baranya vármegye közigazgatásának fejlődésébe, a járási struktúra ki-, majd átalakulásától egészen a központi hivatali pozíció rendszeresítéséig. A téma forrásbázisát az MNL Baranya Vármegyei Levéltárának iratanyaga jelenti. Reményeim szerint eredményeim átfogó képet nyújtanak a helyi adminisztrációról, illetve Baranya vármegye történetéről, és lehetőségem nyílik olyan minták felismerésére, amelyek a vármegye helyi viszonyain túl országos léptékű következtetések levonására is alkalmasak lehetnek, segítve ezzel a rendi korszak közigazgatási folyamatainak mélyebb megértését. | The expulsion of the Turks brought a rebirth for Baranya County. Although the region suffered greatly during the reconquest war, the county quickly revived: by the turn of the century, the old-new order had stabilized. During the decades of peaceful development, only the district administration under Joseph II caused some disruption. After the collapse of the king’s system, the county regained its autonomy, ushering in the era of classical feudalism, which functioned undisturbed until the 1848–49 War of Independence was suppressed. My research aims to provide insight into the development of the administration of Baranya County, from the establishment and transformation of the district structure to the regularization of central administrative positions. The research was based on the document collection of the Baranya County Archives of the Hungarian National Archives. I hope that my results will offer a comprehensive view of local administration and the history of Baranya County, and allow me to identify patterns that, beyond the local circumstances of the county, could also lead to nationwide conclusions, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the administrative processes of the feudal era.
