Abstract
Effective action against the behaviors at the heart of this volume – be it cyberbullying or hate speech – is unthinkable without exploring the causes behind the phenomenon, analyzing the characteristics of the perpetrators, and reviewing the risk factors of becoming a victim. This is of paramount importance not only in terms of prevention and the use of (criminal) legal and extra-legal instruments but also in terms of resolving the consequences of victimization.
