Abstract
Our goal in recent research was to compare the materials science of latex-based condoms of various brands. To do this, we had different types of condoms that were subjected to mechanical testing before and after soaking in different solvents for a specified period. Our solutions were: Simulated Body fluid, lactic acid, in which the products were swollen for 30 days. In the solvent studies, weight changes were examined, and samples were dried for 24 hours after swelling. Subsequently, tensile strength and surface tests (FT-IR) were performed. The purpose of these studies was to compare the mechanical and surface properties of commercially available condoms.
