Abstract
The present paper groups the toponyms of Akli, a small village in Sub-Carpathia (Ukraine), which once belonged to the former Ugocsa county. The author makes use of a traditional onomastic classification of field-names. The study discusses the place-names of both the inner and the peripheral areas emphasizing two features: the presence of the tendency to devote street-names to the memory of famous people, and the regular occurrence of the trend of fusion/simplification regarding field-names.
