Abstract

Ez a tanulmány a Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén megyei lakosok koronavírus-kutatás sajátos aspektusával kapcsolatos attitűdjeit vizsgálja a világjárvány első hullámában. Cél a betegséggel kapcsolatos általános attitűdök felmérése, valamint a nemek és korcsoportok közötti esetleges különbségek feltárása. Nem véletlenszerű mintavételi módszert alkalmaztunk, összesen 473 fő vett részt a vizsgálatban. A vizsgálat eredményei azt mutatják, hogy jelentős különbségek vannak a nemek és korcsoportok között a koronavírus okozta betegségtől való félelem tekintetében. A nők átlagosan magasabb szintű szorongást mutattak a férfiakhoz képest, ami a vírussal kapcsolatos potenciálisan nagyobb aggodalomra vagy érzékelt kockázatra utal. Emellett a tanulmány megállapította, hogy az idősebbek a fiatalabbakhoz képest hajlamosabbak voltak erősebb szorongást mutatni a betegséggel kapcsolatban. Megfigyelték azonban, hogy a fiatalabbaknak nagyobb kihívást jelentett az otthon maradás és a társadalmi érintkezések korlátozása. | This study examines the prevailing attitudes of the residents in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County toward a particular aspect of coronavirus research during the first wave of the pandemic. The main objectives are to assess the general attitude towards the disease and to explore possible differences between genders and age groups. A non-random sampling method was used and a total of n=473 individuals participated in the study. The results of the study show that there are significant differences between genders and age groups in terms of fear of the disease caused by coronavirus. Women, on average, showed higher levels of anxiety compared with men, indicating a potentially greater concern or perceived risk associated with the virus. In addition, the study found that older people tended to show higher levels of anxiety about the disease compared with younger people. However, it was observed that younger individuals experienced greater challenges related to remaining at home and limiting social interactions.
