Abstract
Water is the main source and element of life on Earth for the survival of living organisms; agricultural, economic and social activities. With the development of modern technologies, including geographic information system and remotely sensed data to study natural resources, including water detection. These techniques use to prepare a digital map depending on determine the optimal location. With help of global positioning system receiver, the coordinates of the well sites are determined and fixed on the ground, and then it documented using geographical information system. The result is to specify eight artesian wells distributed on area of interest with area covered 125,000 m 2 for each well. This contributed to increasing green areas from 2% to 33% of the total study area and creating a green belt.
