Abstract
Today, flexibility is getting more and more focus in design. One of the effective solution methods for this can be DfM, i.e. modular design, which is presented during this study. Next, the application of DfM on a practical example will be presented, first on the example of a modular machine design, and then on two modular product family. The special feature of this article is that the prototype of the presented large modular 3D printer, which will be able to 3D print 5-meter products, will soon be ready, as a development of G-MAX Europe Kft.
