Abstract

Finding parameters of hyperelastic material models are cost and labor extensive due to the need of specialized equipment and the complex behavior of elastomers. This research studies the opportunity to determine the material parameters of a two-parameter, compressible Mooney-Rivlin hyperelastic constitutive material model indirectly using finite element analysis and large amount of series production data of sealing assembly process, also incorporates the analysis of other relevant parameters, such as friction and temperature.
