Abstract
This study contains two main parts. The first one presents the German historical context of Tillich's work, paving the way for a more comprehensive appreciation of his theological and philosophical contributions. The second one investigates the central topic of fundamental human fears as investigated in his groundbreaking book. This analysis dissects the precise forms of anxiety that are creating these fears. The conclusion outlines potential avenues for future research, discovering how theology, psychology, and ethics intersect to provide insights into the experiences of elderly individuals.
