Abstract

A harckocsizó fegyvernem megjelenése óta folyamatosan változik, a páncélos harc eszközeinek fejlesztésére pedig a legtöbb nemzet jelentős erőforrásokat biztosít. Ezzel párhuzamosan a harckocsik elpusztítására alkalmas páncéltörő fegyverek hatékonysága és száma is rohamosan nő, egyre nagyobb veszélyt jelentve a páncélosokban szolgáló katonákra. Napjaink fegyveres konfliktusain alapuló megfigyelések alapján nehéz objektíven meghatározni a harckocsik jövőjét. Azonban a német–francia következő generációs harckocsi programja 7-8 év elteltével, folyamatos késedelmeket követően 2024-re elérte azt a státuszt, hogy a prototípus-fejlesztés elkezdődhessen. Kérdés, hogy ez az ambiciózus program időben megvalósítható marad-e. | Ever since their inception, tanks have been constantly evolving and most nations put significant resources towards their development. At the same time, the grow-ing numbers and increasing efficiency of anti-tank systems pose a significant threat to crewmen. Based on the observations of contemporary armed conflicts, the future of tanks remains difficult to objectively predict. However, after 7-8 years, following many delays, the Franco-German next generation tank development programme reached a new milestone in 2024 where the prototyping phase may begin. It remains to be seen if the ambitious programme can be realized in time.
