Abstract
The evolution of medical thought, from its philosophical and humanistic origins to the technological era of artificial intelligence (AI), represents an extraordinary journey through the history of science. This article summarises the key milestones of this path, highlighting the implications of the increasing use of AI in medical practice. It reflects on the advantages and limitations of AI, emphasising the gap between "intelligence" and "consciousness", and raises crucial questions about the future of the doctor-patient relationship. Finally, it discusses the central role of human oversight in AI interaction, posing the question: Who will oversee the new healer?
