Abstract
In this paper, the effect of the Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) with limited signal range and resolution on the performance of the Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC) signal is studied through simulation. The effects of clipping and quantization of the FBMC signal are studied through the evaluation of the signal-to-distortion and quantization ratio and power spectral density of the transmit signal. The mathematical model of the DAC considering an FBMC signal is described and evaluated. The results show that an optimal trade-off can be met in terms of the range and resolution of the DAC. © 2024 IEEE.
