Abstract
Gold does not oxidize, it is difficult to transform it into a chemical compound, but its compounds can be reduced to colored gold extremely easily. It is the only metal that does not react with oxygen and sulfur even at high temperatures. Gold is the most popular metal in dentistry, for decorating, in fixed prosthodontics, for crowns, and inlays or gold foil restorations.
