Abstract

A tanulmány annak kimutatására törekszik, hogy a napjainkban egyre népszerűbbé váló krízistudat korántsem új keletű; a válsággal kapcsolatos kérdéseket ugyanis már a két világháború közötti nyugati-európai gondolkodás krónikásai is feltettek, amikor a „Nyugat alkonyáról” vallott gondolataikat vetették papírra. A tanulmány ezek közül Oswald Spengler, Leo Frobenius, Hermann Keyserling, Ortega y Gasset és Johan Huizinga teóriáit veszi górcső alá. | The study seeks to show that the awareness of crisis, which is becoming more and more popular nowadays, is far from new. The questions related to the crisis were already asked by the chroniclers of Western European thought between the two world wars, when they were putting their thoughts about the “Decline of the West” on paper. Among these, the study examines the theories of Oswald Spengler, Leo Frobenius, Hermann Keyserling, Ortega y Gasset and Johan Huizinga.
