Abstract

A kelta nemzetek között Cornwall történelme és kultúrája a leginkább alulkutatott a hazai szakirodalomban. A tanulmány áttekinti Cornwall és a cornwalli nyelv történetét az írott források megjelenésétől egészen a 20. század végéig. A munka arra is kísérletet tesz, hogy bemutassa a cornwalli nemzeti mozgalom kialakulását és politikai párttá fejlődését, valamint vázolja a Mebyon Kernow politikai sikereinek korlátait. | Among the Celtic nations, the history and culture of Cornwall are the most under-researched topics in Hungarian literature. This study reviews the history of Cornwall and the Cornish language from the appearance of written sources to the end of the 20th century. The work also attempts to explore the emergence of the Cornish national movement, its evolution into a political party, and outlines the boundaries of political success achieved by the Mebyon Kernow party.
