Abstract

Residential buildings, as one of the main contributors to climate change, are regularly in the target of climate change mitigation. The energy crisis in has accelerated the need for cutting natural gas consumption of the sector, hence the necessity for short and middle term measures increased drastically. The focus of this paper is to introduce recent research efforts where possible actions were investigated that could swiftly tackle the problem and lower residential heating energy usage. © 2023 IBPSA.All rights reserved.
