Abstract

A Munkásőrség rendeltetése a fennállása teljes időszakában a Magyar Szocialista Munkáspárt (MSZMP) védelme volt. A Kádár-korszakban a propaganda tevékenység – bár nem tartozott a fegyveres testület elsődleges feladatai közé – részét képezte a szervezet feladatrendszerének. A korai években inkább a propaganda tárgyaként, támogatandó és követendő példaként szerepelt a pártmilícia, de az idő előrehaladtával a politikai agitáció folytatása is a tevékenységének fontos feladattá vált. Jelen tanulmányomban összefoglalom az e területen folytatott tudományos kutatásaim eredményeit, bemutatom a kutatás időszakát jelentő nyolcvanas években a Békés megyei parancsnokság és az Országos Parancsnokság Propaganda és Sajtó Osztálya propaganda célú tevékenységének fő jellemzőit, az együttműködésük fontosnak tartott területeit. | The purpose of the Workers’ Militia throughout its entire existence was to protect the Hungarian Socialist Workers’ Party (MSZMP). During the Kádár era, propaganda activities—although not among the primary duties of this armed organization—formed an integral part of its operational framework. In the early years, the party militia appeared more as a subject of propaganda, serving as a model to support and follow. However, over time, the continuation of political agitation also became an important aspect of its activities. In this study, I summarize the results of my scientific research conducted in this field and present the main characteristics of the propaganda-related activities of the Békés County Command and the Propaganda and Press Department of the National Command during the 1980s, which is the period covered by my research. I also highlight the areas of cooperation they considered important.
