Abstract
Lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic brought a surge in mental health issues, domestic violence, and divorces. At the same time, it revealed the strength of family ties and sparked kindness and civic solidarity. This article explores how families provided emotional and practical support, becoming the primary source of social capital during isolation. Referencing sociologists like Levi-Strauss and Donati, the study highlights families’ essential role in shaping societal recovery and resilience through networks of solidarity, responsibility, and shared values.
