Abstract
This article analyzes family policy as a key area for the application of social justice. It revisits the concept of justice, examines the scope of family and social policy, and emphasizes the role of families in developing human capital. Drawing on Polish policy examples from 2015–2021, it shows the disproportionate burden on families raising children and argues for better recognition and compensation. Concepts like the “tragedy of the commons” and the “free-rider problem” illustrate systemic issues. The paper concludes with three guiding principles: maintaining human capital, responsibility, and justice.
