Abstract

Napjainkban a 30 és 49 év közöttiek negyede–harmada nem él házasságban vagy élettársi kapcsolatban, és az egyedülállók kétötöd részének még sosem volt tartós párkapcsolata. A kapcsolatok halasztása és növekvő bomlékonysága miatt 2001 és 2011 között megnőtt a harmincas és a negyvenes éveikben járó egyedülállók száma, de az egyedülálló életforma terjedése a 2010-es években megállt, és a partner nélküli helyzetből való kilépés is könnyebbé vált. A 30–49 éves egyedülállók iskolai végzettsége valamivel alacsonyabb, társadalmi-gazdasági helyzete rosszabb, mint a párkapcsolatban élőké. A kapcsolatban még nem élt nők átlagos iskolázottsága magasabb, mint a hasonló helyzetű férfiaké, és az egyedülálló nők közül többen élnek nagyvárosban, mint a pár nélküli férfiak. | Nowadays, one-quarter to one-third of those aged 30 to 49 are not married or in a cohabiting relationship, and two-fifths of singles have never had a long-term relationship. Between 2001 and 2011, due to delayed and increasingly fragile relationships, the number of singles in their thirties and forties increased, but in the 2010s, the spread of single living stopped, and exiting a partnerless state became easier. The educational attainment of 30–49-year-old singles is slightly lower, and their socio-economic status is worse than that of those in relationships. Women who have never been in a relationship have higher education levels than similarly situated men, and more single women live in large cities compared to single men.
