Abstract

A zenetudományban, zeneesztétikában a mai napig megfigyelhető az az ősi dualizmus, amely szembeállítja a csak formai, mérhető paraméterek szerint történő elemzést (formalista módszer), a zene kifejező, jelentő elemeit, aspektusait figyelembe vevő közelítéssel (tartalomesztétika). A mai zenei gondolkodásban ez például a zeneszemiotika és a „zenei szemiológia” európai konfliktusában ölt testet, illetve a toposzelmélet és a faktológiai (komputenciális stb.) zenetudomány harcában. A tanulmány vázolja a zenei jelentésre és zenei narratológiára építő tendenciák új kategóriáit (toposz, intonáció, zenei köznyelv, narratív stratégia stb.), illetve ezek nemzetközi irodalmát. A kortárs zenében is érződik a tartalomcentrikus irányzat jelenléte, amikor is a zeneszerzők koruk és társadalmuk kulturális vagy tudományos eredményeire utalnak műveikben, néha szinte programszerű pontossággal (lásd pl. toposzöröklés; újfajta „zenei programok”). A kortárs zene új invariánsokat, típusokat is teremt: a természeti elemek, az állatvilág zenei hangadásainak és az elektroakusztikus zene formatípusainak összevetésével „jelenkori” univerziáliákat, tipikus folyamatokat (TSU) hoz létre. Ezek listája (katalógusa) pedig kapcsolatot teremt a kognitív idegtudományok egyik kérdésfeltevésével: a mentális tárgyak, a kulturális reprezentációk állandóságának hipotézisével. Erre rímel a hosszú távú zenei memória kutatása, ezek mai módszertana, illetve a szerző által javasolt kiindulópontja. | In musicology and musical aesthetics – despite the development of these disciplines – we can still observe the ancient dualism that opposes analysis according to formal, measurable parameters (formalistic method) to an approach that takes into account the expressive, meaningful elements of music (aesthetics of content, of expression). In contemporary musical thought, this is embodied, for example, in the European conflict between musical semiotics and ‘musical semiology’, and in the struggle between topos theory and ‘factuel’ or positivist musicology (e.g. a computational one, etc.). The article outlines the new categories of the first approach based on musical meaning and musical narratology (e.g. topos, intonation, musical common language, narrative strategy, etc.) and their international literature and background. The presence of an expression- centred tendency can also be felt in contemporary music, when composers refer to cultural novelties or to scientific discoveries of their time in their musical works, sometimes with almost programmatic precision (see e.g. survivance/ heredity of topics ; new kinds of ‘programme music’). Contemporary music also creates new invariants, new structural types. The sonorous manifestations of natural phenomena, of the animal world, completed by the new structures/processes in electroacoustic music, create contemporary genotypes, typical processes (e.g. TSU/Temporal Semiotic Units). The list or catalogue of ancient and new musical invariants or topoï, in turn, establishes a link with one of the hypotheses of cognitive neuroscience : that of the stability of mental objects, of cultural representations in the brain. This is echoed by research into long- term musical memory, its new methodology today, and the starting point proposed by the author.
