Abstract
Fatigue analysis is among the most challenging tasks in engineering practice. Not only because of the statistical nature of fatigue experiments, but the numerous formulas available for fatigue parameter calculation, which allows the engineers to compare the actual stress and strain state of the parts to the results of fatigue experiments. The situation becomes even more complicated, if one is interested in the orientation of the critical plane, on which the fatigue crack propagation is anticipated. In this work a possible methodology of critical plane is introduced.
