Abstract
The evaluation of degradation mechanisms in steam generator heat transfer tubes, the identification of failure modes, and the associated assessment methodologies have undergone significant developments compared to those applied in early pressurized water reactors. The objective of this study is to summarize the methodological approaches and found in the literature and present them in a structured format that is comprehensible even to non-expert readers. In addition to reviewing the evolution of assessment techniques, the study also highlights opportunities for further methodological development to improve early detection and monitoring of degradation processes.
