Abstract
ARCHITECT: Sou Fujimoto The 2025 Osaka Expo, themed "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," builds on Japan's tradition of significant World Expos. Architect Sou Fujimoto's Grand Ring, a large circular wooden structure with an elevated Skywalk, serves as the main route and offers views of key pavilions like Singapore's. The sustainable design uses timber and plans for future disassembly. The central Forest of Tranquility and SANAA’s "Better Co-being" pavilion explore the connection between natural and artificial environments across three themes: Connecting Lives, Empowering Lives, and Saving Lives.
