Abstract

The article will briefly introduce three Tibetan ritual text~ writicn by the Seventh Panchen Lama, Palden Tenpai Nyirna (Tib. Bio bzang dpal ldan bstan pa'i nyi ma phyogs las mam rgyal, widely known in Mongolia as Chogloinamjil, 1782- 1853) devoted to Khangai Khan ("King Khangai"), the minor Dhamrnpala and local spirit, • tord of the soil", owner of the ground" of the Khangai Mountains (4008 m). It also p-ovides the complete English translation of one of them, a smoke-offering ritual text (Kha!. san, Tib. bsa11gs), which is available in about ten copies in lhe Tibetan Collection of the National Library of Mongolia (www.bdrc.jo) and also known in Arvain Kh(iree Gandanpuntsoglin Monastery in Arwaikheer city, Mongolia. The a1ticle will reveal the connection of the Seventh Panchen Lama and Khangai Khan's cult in this monastery.
