Abstract

A tanulmány Márk evangéliuma 6,1–6 szakaszát elemzi, Jézus názáreti elutasításának teológiai és nyelvi rétegeit vizsgálva. Középpontjában a „názáreti Jézus” megnevezés etimológiai és krisztológiai értelmezése áll, különös tekintettel a Nazarhnov" és NazwraiÖo" kifejezések jelentéskülönbségére, valamint a héber nécer ’sarj’ és názír ’Istennek szentelt’ gyökök kapcsolatára. A dolgozat bemutatja, miként válik a földrajzi eredetre utaló név teológiai címmé, amely Jézus alázatát, isteni küldetését és a hit paradox dinamikáját fejezi ki. A názáreti epizód Jézus emberi sorsában az isteni kinyilatkoztatás meghökkentő közelségének példája. | This study offers a theological and linguistic analysis of Mark 6:1–6, focusing on Jesus’ rejection in Nazareth. It examines the Christological significance of the title “Jesus of Nazareth,” exploring the distinction between Nazarhnov" and NazwraiÖo" and their possible roots in the Hebrew nēṣer (“branch”) and nāzîr (“one consecrated to God”). The paper argues that what appears as a geographical designation evolves into a theological title expressing Jesus’ humility, divine mission, and the paradoxical tension between faith and unbelief. The Nazareth episode reveals the nearness of divine revelation in human form and the existential challenge of recognizing God within the ordinary.
